Objective:

As part of the research report for my undergraduate degree, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of three emerging trends in the luxury market: collaboration culture, the rise of the luxury pre-loved market, and gamification. The report examines how these trends have evolved and projects their potential development over the next 10 years. This analysis is supported by both primary and secondary research, using sociological theories and historical fashion trends to interpret the results.

Duration: April 2024- June 2024

Project type: Individual Project.

Challenges Faced:

  • Interpreting socio-economic and cultural shifts in fashion trends: Understanding how shifts in consumer behavior, sustainability demands, and digital transformation will impact the luxury market in the long term.
  • Visualizing trend development over a decade: Projecting the future of these trends involved considering both contemporary developments and future possibilities.
  • Incorporating feedback and aligning it with digital research tools: Collecting relevant data through surveys, interviews, and e-research on the Padlet platform while integrating these findings cohesively into the analysis.

How I Overcame Them:

  • Comprehensive primary and secondary research: I conducted interviews and surveys with industry professionals and consumers, focusing on their experiences with luxury products and sustainability concerns. The findings helped form a well-rounded analysis of each trend.
  • Utilizing digital tools for visual research: I created a Padlet platform to present the evolution of each trend, incorporating visual data, articles, and multimedia to illustrate key points. This helped make the research more accessible and engaging.
  • Historical and theoretical frameworks: Drawing on fashion history and sociological theories allowed me to interpret the trends and predict their future development with a solid contextual foundation.
